Andrew F. Babitz, Associate Attorney

Andy earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 2010. While at UMKC, he was a member of the UMKC Law Review, the Program Editor of the Urban Lawyer and a member of the nationally ranked UMKC Trial Team.  Andy also served as a Representative of the Student Bar Association.  He began appearing in court as a third year law student while working as a Rule 13 Intern in the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office.

Andy is licensed in Missouri and Illinois, as well as the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri. Andy has over seven years of litigation experience.  He began his legal career working for the insurance defense industry and then spent a few years representing the interests of large institutional creditors.  He has litigation experience with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and creditor’s rights. Andy is an active member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Commercial Law League of America.  Andy was recently selected to the 2017 Missouri Super Lawyers “Rising Star” list.  This is an exclusive list, recognizing no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in Missouri. Andy was also selected to the Missouri Super Lawyers “Rising Star” list in 2015 and 2016.

As a life-long resident of St. Louis, Andy has strong ties to the community and has developed a wide network of legal and professional contacts. Andy believes that serving the community is extremely important. He is a member of the United Hebrew Congregation’s Board of Trustees, is a Millstone Institute Fellow and a member of the St. Louis Wexner Cohort 2015.

Andy is married to Diana Babitz, a First Grade teacher; they reside in Saint Louis County with their daughter Emily and their son Eli.
